Snacks for Life

Products Tested:
Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip, Coconut Chocolate Chip, Banana, Lemon Cookies

Katherine: These were great cookies. I love chocolate so the chocolate chip and chocolate chip coconut where my favorites. All flavors were really good.
Johnny:
Excellent Cookies. These remind me of Grandmas cookies. They come individually wrapped and each cookie is huge.
Timothy:
Yum! Yum!. I agree these are soft cookies like Grandma's Cookies. All the flavors were fantastic with lots of bursting flavors. Great to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Lucy:
These are exceptional cookies. Large and soft; great to pack in your lunch or just needing a sweet treat that is healthy. These cookies have no transfats, cholesterol, dairy or refined sugars. I love the carrot cake cookie, since carrot cake is my favorite cake. I was able to eat a great cookie that tasted great and was healthier for me than eating a piece of carrot cake with icing. With these flavorful cookies you will never miss the icing, if you are a icing junky like myself.
Manny:
I like the fact that these cookies are soft baked cookies almost like a cake cookie. The flavors were great and I honestly do not have a favorite flavor. I liked them all. A big cookie and a glass of milk is perfect after coming home from my college classes. Nice and relaxing.

  The Crab Ladies
Products Tested:
Gluten Free Jumbo Lump Crap Cakes
Katherine: These are really good. I normally do not like fish unless it is fried catfish but these were really good.
Johnny:
I have actually never had a crab cake before, but I love them. Can I have some more please.
Timothy:
Delicious. My only complaint is that I am want some more to eat and we are out of samples. Yum Yum!
Lucy:
Let me just say these are exceptional crab cakes. When I have eaten premade crab cakes in the past they are usually over 1/2 bread crumbs and need some dipping sauce to make them palatable, but not these. Lots of crab and perfectly spiced. I did not feel the need to put anything on them; they were great by themselves.
Manny:
OMG, these crab cakes rock. They are big and tons of crab in each crab cake. I have never eaten a store bought crab cake that I liked. These are fabulous.

Gluten-Free Confections

Products Tested:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies
Sugar Cookies
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Chocolate Brownie

Katherine: These are the best cookies I have tasted in a very long time. I love anything with chocolate so I gobbled up the Chocolate Chips and the Chocolate Brownies. Really hard to share. :)
Johnny:
I could not really tell these were gluten free. I loved the peanut butter cookies and the sugar cookie. The chocolate chip and the chocolate brownie were really good too; huh Katherine
Timothy:
Excellent products. They tasted homemade and very fresh. I loved them all, even the oatmeal raisin cookies. I really think even non-celiacs would love these products.
Lucy:
Christine's cookies are splendid. Timothy, sorry I hogged up the Oatmeal cookies and you did not get alot. I have not had any oatmeal in over ten years and well we got the package and those oatmeal cookies were calling my name so I wanted to sneak just one but it turned into three. A non-celiac guest found about them and loved them with me so sorry guys. I thought all the products were great with a homemade feel to them. The chocolate brownie was really special too. Many gf brownies are dried out tasting; not these, they were really moist and rich.
Manny:
Wow, these gluten free products we are sampling are just getting better and better. The cookies and brownie did not taste gluten free so I think non-celiacs would love them too. I like the fact that they are organic too. Excellent brownies, chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter cookies. I am going to take Lucy's word that the Oatmeal Raisin Cookies were rockin too. The best part of these gluten free cookies is you can dunk them in milk and they don't fall apart. They were wonderful with a cold glass of milk.

Good JuJu Bakery

Products Tested:
English Muffins
Dinner Rolls
Sandwich Bread
Corn Muffins
Blueberry Muffins
Banana Bread
Lemon Poppy Bread

Katherine: I enjoyed all the products. I really liked the sandwich bread and had a peanut butter sandwich; something I have not had in a very long time. Yummy
Johnny:
The muffins including the corn muffins were really good and sweet. I love desserts and these hit the spot. The bread was really good too and made a really nice sandwich that did not crumble. All of the products we tested were all very good and even non-celiacs would like them.
Timothy:
I liked the English muffin the best. The reason no one else commented is because I ate the whole thing and forgot to share. :)~ It was really good toasted with jelly on it too. I also loved all the muffins we tasted as well. Yum is the word.
Lucy:
I was very pleased with all the samples from Good Juju Bakery. The corn muffin we sampled was really good; it was sweet like a dessert muffin. I did not even need any honey on it, just put a little butter and it was very tasty. It really did not need any butter, but I put butter on everything if I have the chance. The sandwich bread was very tasty as well as all the different flavored muffins. Good Juju Bakery has some excellent products that I highly recommend.
Manny:
I love muffins any time of the day and these muffins were fantastic. I liked the corn muffin too as it was sweet and hit the spot as well. I did not get to taste the English muffin or the sandwich bread. You know what they say, if you snooze you loose. I will never be late to another tasting again. :)~ Great tasting products.

Vegan Pizza
Banana Cinnamon Teacake
Blueberry Teacake
Cocoa Mocha Teacake
Lemon Poppy Teacake

Katherine: I really likes the pizza, especially the cheese and veggie pizza. My favorite teacake was the cocoa mocha, but I love anything with chocolate in it. The banana and the lemon were my next favorites. Yum!
Johnny: I really liked them all, but the Greek and the veggie were my favorites. I liked all the teacakes too; they were really moist. I had to almost wrestle Lucy to get some of the lemon teacake and the Greek pizza. You know I love you, but you got to share girl. Great products.
Timothy: These products are awesome. Really soft and moist teacakes. I do not have a favorite, because I like them all.
The pizzas were really good too. I like the way the cheese melted on all of them including the Vegan pizza. My friend is a vegan and I know he will like these too even though he is not gluten free.
Lucy: Well I must admit, I hogged up the lemon poppy teacakes and the Greek pizza. I love anything with lemon and the teacakes were very good and very moist. I really liked all of the pizzas and the Greek pizza was really unique and very tasty. I think the teacakes would make a great treat in a child's lunchbox and the pizza could be carried to school or work since they can be put in the microwave. Great product.
Manny: I could not tell that the teacakes were gluten free and casein free. They were really tasty and I am like Timothy, I liked all the flavors. I really liked the blueberry since I believe I detected a hint of nutmeg. The spice in the blueberry teacakes were very complimentary. The pizzas were very good as well and I like the crispiness of the crust and the way the cheese melted even in the microwave. I like them better in the oven, but they still taste good in the microwave. I would recommend these products to my celiac friends as well as my non-celiac friends.

Products Tasted:
Raspberry Cookie
Coconut Cookie
Chocolate Orange Cookie
Chocolate Chip Cookie

Katherine: I really liked these cookies especially the chocolate chip cookie. Very sweet, crisp, and just the way I like my cookies.
Johnny:
Wow these are some really good cookies. I would have never known they were gluten free. The coconut in each cookie is great. I love coconut in everything. I really liked the Raspberry one, it reminded me of the flavor of a pop-tart. That is a good thing. :)~
Timothy:
I loved these cookies especially the raspberry ones. They were the best and they were hard for me to share with others. I just wanted them all for myself. I am going to have to get my mom to get me some more of these. I love this company.
Lucy:
I loved all the cookies. They were nice and crisp and they dunked very well in cold milk. I loved the coconut cookies so much dunked in milk that I actually took some and crunched them up and poured some milk on them. It was similar to a great granola cereal. I was in heaven. I believe I could make a cookie crumb crust out of thee coconut cookies, but hmm I ate them all and could not test my theory. I am going to order some and try this with my crumb recipe and then make a coconut cream pie.  I am making myself hungry. Excellent products, I loved all the flavors.
Manny:
These cookies rock. The best non-gluten cookie I have tried. I liked all the flavors, but my absolute favorite was the chocolate orange cookie. These were awesome.

No Worries
Gluten Free Bread Mix

product contains no gluten or dairy. The package contains enough to make two loafs of bread

Product Tasted:
Bread Mix

Katherine: tasted really great. I liked plain with butter and also with peanut butter for a sandwich.
Johnny:
I liked this bread, very close to the real thing. I like it buttered and as a pizza crust. I wish we had tried it for hot dog buns too, but some people hogged it all up for rolls with butter :)
Timothy:
Buttered Rolls. :) yum, yum, yum.
Lucy:
I second that; butter rolls and bread rule. A little jelly makes it even better. Hey Johnny, I hogged the rolls, but hmm where did my second slice of pizza go? Great product, need more of this great stuff.
Manny:
This product is really great and I liked everything we tried it with. I am a sandwich kinda guy so it did really well with some ham, mayo and lettuce.

Timothy: taste really good, maybe a tad sweet, but still good.
Lucy: This is my favorite bagel. I like them plain, buttered and I even made a pizza bagel that was really great tasting and easy to make.

Product Tasted: No Oats Oatmeal cookies.

Katherine: This cookie is strange looking, but boy they are incredible. Love these. Yum.
Johnny: I do not usually like chewy cookies but these are really nice. They taste like they really have oatmeal when they don't have any in the ingredients.
Timothy: The cookie is great if you like oatmeal cookies, which I do. I love oatmeal and cinnamon mixed together.
Lucy: At first I was skeptical of this cookie, it does not look like your traditional cookie and I agree with Johnny, I really like a more crispy cookie, but this is an exceptional soft cookie. You would never know you were not eating oatmeal and the spices used are just right to give you that old fashioned oatmeal cookie taste. These will never last long in our house.
Manny: I really liked this particular cookies. It is different from any cookie I have ever had, but it was very tasty never-less.

Ener-G Foods
Large variety of G.F. Products

Product Tasted: Ener-G's Gourmet Crackers

Katherine: Wow, I have been begging my mom for crackers and pretzels and she found them. This cracker is really good tasting. I like it with peanut butter on them.
Johnny: This cracker taste like a Club Cracker. The only problem I have with this cracker is that it tends to crumble very easy. Other than that it is something I would eat again.
Timothy: Yum, I am with Katherine. Peanut Butter is the way to go with these crackers.
Lucy: I am really impressed. I do not usually care for G.F. crackers, but these are rather good. They do tend to crumble and you have to be really careful when spreading the peanut butter. I really liked them plain and with salad. It has been a long time since I have had a cracker I have actually enjoyed.
Manny: This cracker is not bad. I like the more sturdy saltine cracker, but I have tasted other G.F. crackers and if I could not have gluten like my friends here I would certainly eat this cracker. I do think that it is too crumbly, but that is a small price to pay for a good cracker for Celiacs.

Panderos Delights
G.F. Cookies

Product Tasted:
Wafer Cookies

Katherine: I liked these alot, but I love chocolate so I dipped these in Bakers melted semi-sweet chocolate for a wonderful treat.
Johnny: These were very interesting and tasted good. They tasted like a vanilla wafer type cookie. I would definitely eat them again.
Timothy: These are good plain, dipped in chocolate or even in banana pudding.
Lucy:
I loved these unique cookies. They are my new replacement for vanilla wafers. Actually I had a bag of them in the car and I was eating one handful after another until I finally had to seal the bag and put it in the back seat so I would stop eating them. They are so good you cannot eat just one. For a special treat I made a banana pudding and put the wafers in when I was ready to serve the pudding and they held up very nice and they worked well as a substitute for vanilla wafers.
Manny: I was skeptical at first because I did not think tapioca based cookies would taste good, but they are really good. I took some to school with me in my lunch and my friends tried them and they keep asking where they can get some. So they are not only for the celiac community. I am hording my last handful until my mom orders me some online.

Product Tasted: Crisp Pretzels

Katherine: Yeah, finally I got some pretzels and they were the best thing I have tasted.
Johnny: I really like these pretzels and I cannot taste any difference in this product and one that contains gluten.
Timothy: Very good, can I have some more.
Lucy: I hate to even put an opinion here since I really do not care for pretzels. I like the soft chewy ones, but I am not fond of crunchy food items. But since I am a taster I will say that this is a great pretzel and it taste as good as the gluten free ones on the market. I do think they are a little pricy for the small bag we bought in Lewisville. We paid a 1.70 for approx a 2 ounce bag of pretzels. I will however buy them for my daughter as they make a great snack.
Manny: These are really good pretzels. I would eat them again.
