What is Club Celiac?
     Club Celiac is a great web site that offers information, support, recipes, and a place for
     young people with Celiac Sprue, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, and/or other food sensitivities
                  to interact with other people who share their same experiences.
 

  Is there a Membership?
     No there is no membership or any fees to be a member of Club Celiac. All you need to do is
     log onto our website and interact with other individuals your own age. We try to keep the
                  Celiac community updated with the latest research, products, and other pertinent 
                  information concerning Celiac Sprue.

 

Who created Club Celiac and Why?
   Lucy Shriver created Club Celiac. I am a fellow Celiac and started the Gluten Free Kitchen 
   in 1996, but I noticed that there was a need for information that was more user friendly on 
                the Internet and there also needed to be something for young people who had Celiac Sprue.
                My daughter was also diagnosed with Celiac Sprue when she was five, and trying to explain 
                to her what the disease is and how to live a gluten free life was easier if I put it in an easy 
                to understand format, plus I showed her how she can live with this disease and not feel
               deprived for the foods she once enjoyed. I decided that I wanted to share this with the young
               Celiacs of the world, therefore, Club Celiac was born.
 

I have more questions and feel overwhelmed, what can I do?
   Anytime you have a question, feel free to email me. I will do my best to answer it or
   find someone who can answer it for us. If you are frustrated and need someone to chat with
                 that has Celiac Sprue, please write me, I am always happy to share my experiences and look
