Welcome to Club Celiac's Interactive Mailing List
This is a
great mailing list to join. It is for children with Celiac Sprue, Dermatitis
Herpetiformis
and/or other
food allergies. It is a great way to exchange information, recipes, and/or support.
Just enter
your email address and click
on the Join button above to join our unique mailing list. Once you have joined our mailing list,
simple send all emails to clubceliac@yahoogroups.com
After joining the mailing list we only ask you to follow a few simple rules since some of our members subscribe to our digest mode. Digest mode means that they get several topics in just one email instead of getting individual emails for each topic posted.
1. When replying to someone's email on
the list, please remove the previous message you are replying
to so that it does not keep getting repeated on the list. It is ok to use
quotes, but please use only a
small phrase or two and then we will all know what previous message you are
referring to without
having to re-read the same message over and over again. You can set your email
when hitting the reply button to not copy the old message by unchecking this
option in your email account options or you can simply highlight and delete the
unwanted text. If you need assistance with this, please feel free to email me
for help.
2. When replying to a message, please make sure that the subject line has the correct heading. This is especially true if you are on digest mode, since the subject line will say Digest on it. The reason it is best to put an appropriate subject heading on your emails is so that people who are searching the archives are able to find previous post about a certain subject with ease. It is also good to place a proper subject heading, because sometimes we get a lot of messages on the list and it is easier to skim through your email and decide which topics you are interested in and the ones you would rather come back and read at another time.
3. No Advertisements are allowed on the list. No exceptions to this rule. If you have a gluten free product or you have an event you are sponsoring I will be happy to post your information in the appropriate places on the web site so individuals interested in your products or events will be able to find them and contact you via that avenue.
4. No profanity, spams or negative attacks on members will be tolerated on this list. I really hate to post this rule as we have a wonderful groups of individuals on this list that get along with each other and provide outstanding support to one another. If you disagree with a poster that is ok, lets just do it in a positive way where we are not attacking another person. Remember sometimes it is hard to tell what your really mean or what voice you are using when dealing with email. This rule is a common sense rule about treating others as you would like to be treated, so I will say not more about it.
5. My last rule is too have fun and never be afraid to offer advice or ask a question. No questions are dumb questions here. Even if you feel your question has been asked before, that is ok. We love to spread the information we have about living a gluten free life with other and are happy to answer any questions and we also love it when new or seasoned celiacs can teach us old dogs new tricks. I look forward to hearing from everyone that joins our list even if it is to say hello and just introduce yourself. Lurking is ok on this list. If you enjoy the conversation and do not feel like participating that is great too, I am just thrilled you have found our little corner of the web. At anytime you have any questions or need my assistance and you do not want to post it to the list, feel free to email me anytime at clubceliac@yahoo.com
