Welcome to Celiac E-Pals.  Exchange ideals, recipes, and support with other individuals your age 
that also have Celiac Sprue and/or Dermatitis Herpetiformis. You need to get your parents 
permission first before writing emails to anyone you do not know.  To search for an E-Pal, catch
a ride with us to the E-Pal message board by clicking on the bus below. When you reach your destination, scroll down on the community message board and click on the one that says Celiac 
Pen Pals. Be Sure and Read the Safety Tips Below before boarding the Bus.

Please familiarize yourself with some Internet and E-mail safety tips, before departing. 

• Don't give out your full name, home address or telephone number. You can give them an alias and let them know what country you live in, but other than that, do not give out personal information. If your new e-pal requires that you give them your address or phone number, alert your parents or an adult immediately.
• Never agree to meet your new E- friend in real life without your parents permission or knowledge. You may be going to meet someone who is not who they claim to be.
• Never eat something that your new friend has made and sent to you in the mail. Give the edible gift to your parents to check before eating it.
• If your new friend is being inappropriate and/or making you feel uncomfortable tell your parents immediately . 
• Ask your parents to surf the Net with you. Sharing the experience with a family member can be rewarding and a safe experience for the whole family.
• If you come across any material or individuals that make you feel uncomfortable tell an adult (preferably your parents) immediately.
